Thanks for using Band in Your Hand. We make personalised songs for the people, pets and moments you love. We collect as little as we can to do that well, and we treat your information with the same care you put into the songs you create. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.

Whatever you tell us about a person, pet, family member or occasion is used only to create the songs and albums you ask for. To generate a song, the details you enter are sent to our trusted third-party AI lyric and music providers, which process them only to produce your song. We do not sell your song content, and we do not use it for advertising.
We use a small number of trusted providers to run Band in Your Hand. They only receive what they need to do their job, and each has its own privacy policy:
If you install Band in Your Hand from the App Store or Google Play, your purchase may instead be handled by Apple or Google under their own terms.
Payments are processed securely by PayFast (or, for app-store purchases, by Apple or Google). Your full card details are entered with the payment provider, not with us, we never see or store them.
If you choose to share a song or album, only the content you choose to share becomes visible to the people you share it with. Nothing is shared publicly unless you do so yourself.
Band in Your Hand is run from South Africa, and some of our providers are based in the EU and the United States. This means your information may be processed outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards for handling personal data.
We keep your account details and songs for as long as your account is active, so your library is there when you come back. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information and songs, except anything we're required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Many songs are made for children, but Band in Your Hand is intended to be used by adults: parents, guardians and grown-ups. The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work continually to keep your information safe.
